The kabuto (helmet) of a samurai was crafted to each owner, a unique piece that represented the warrior's ferocity on the battlefield, inciting fear in his enemies during battle, while also displaying their family crest, including other details that would help to signal their rank within the society. Although the kabuto was only one part of an elaborate and elegant series of battle armor, it was the most personal.
Paired together with the stylized Japanese cranes, which represent good fortune and long life, this pocket square will be a reminder that although suiting up for a day at the office isn't quite the same as preparing for war, you should still be ready for battle.
